It varies, check the event info directly. Some places start Friday at Midnight.

Sadly I will not be going to the midnight one in my town, I will have to go to the one on the 29th in the middle of the day :/

Is the pre release the same everywhere?  I called a place near me, and they said it was $25.00.  6 packs, and there where prizes you could win.

Ok.  The one that I might be able to go to is the opening the helvault thing.  Has anybody ever done anything like that?

In Sealed and drafting, it's 40 card min. Basically, if they give you the cards to make a deck it's 40. If you bring your own cards and deck, 60.
