In all honesty, I'm in favor of banning any duplicate 3K cards for EDH. If you have the money to throw at it, you basically get two-offs of cards. And horsemanship.. Underpriced unblockable..

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. I think this statement is true for every format.

I mean obviously you need to have enough to buy the relevant cards... But legacy, you don't need foil fetches or beta duals or judge promo wastelands.... You can have the exact same deck as someone but their deck is worth $30,000 and yours is worth $3,000. There is no card for legacy that you can buy for any amount that is FoW 4-8 for your deck, but cards like that do exist for vintage and EDH.
