I get what you are saying about the Irregulars...Im still partial the Siege...test them both out and decide from there :)
Will do, thanks :)

I think tht mastery would be good because
-If you get to late game you'll need a mana sink
-It triggers anafenza
-It will get you extra life
-You will hit creatures most of the time
I was thinking my mana sink would be the Irregulars/Heliod. I'm thinking that it is better than Heliod for this deck? 4 mana for a manifest or 4 for a 2/1. Thing is, Heliod will usually be a creature... Maybe I'll sideboard the thing to play against control or something. Probably will test it main board too.

Fair enough, I'll admit that I did not notice heliod.

Which do you think is a better mana sink for this deck?

I like {Heliod, God of the Sun} more for this deck. That being said, {Mastery of the Unseen} might be better against burn/aggro decks...the life gain might keep you going. Another card I just thought of though is {Wingmate Roc}; typically you'll be able to get the raid effect and if the board is flooded with creatures, the "gain life" clause is great. Just something to consider.

Wing mate is one of those auto includes that I forgot about, thanks! Seems like from what you said, Mastery is a good sb card, which was my plan for it. I think Heliod has a better chance of surviving against control decks/midrange because of indestructible so I'll keep him in the main.

I feel like you're making the right decisions here but it might be worth main boarding {Mastery of the Unseen} if your meta is midrange/control.

I'm not sure mainboarding 4 {Vryn Wingmare} is great--there are going to be a lot of creature decks in the new format, and a 2/1 flyer for {2}{W} seems bad. Even against control it's not great; with the uptick in number of good mono-colored creatures, {Ultimate Price} will see more play and {Bile Blight} will continue to be a premium removal spell. If you take turn 3 off to cast Wingmare, control decks can still untap and kill your Wingmare the next turn, and can kill anything they need to the turn you play Wingmare by casting removal in response. Don't get me wrong, it's still good against the spell-heavy decks and probably worth a sideboard slot or two, but it's not {Thalia, Guardian of Thraben}. Frankly, as a control player {Mastery of the Unseen} is WAY scarier anyway. That card is bonkers.

I really want to build the MWD deck, but I don't have most of the key cards and am unsure about purchasing a bunch of them so close to rotation. But the deck looks awesome, and I'm sure it can get there.

And if you decide to mainboard {Mastery of the Unseen}, you could always throw in {Eidolon of Rhetoric}...seems like it could be fun

Hmm, thanks for all the advice. The idea behind the wingmare was to slow down the {languish} by a turn. You're probably right that that won't happen though. Testing is in order when I have time.
