For awhile, it was considered the most broken card in the game. Remember, MTG was originally played with ante, but due to gambling laws, they had to change the rules. I think the 4th Edition rule book still said to play for ante...

No it is the best magic card ever. It is better than every piece of the power 9, period. The problem with this is that anything with ante is banned in both the majority of casual groups and tournament play.
