I noticed that old posts made by Gorzo were deleted today. Among those are the posts he made concerning the zombie horde game type. I was wondering if there was a way to retrieve this information? If so I would be extremely obliged.

Rass

I don't see them in the deleted section. No idea if they can be brought back.

Kaylesh

Dang, that's too bad. I piggiebacked my recent event on his rules. Guess I'll just have to rewrite from scratch, unless Piotr has a way to retrieve said documentation?

Splicer

I found his rules here for you.

For those who don't know the format, let me quickly explain Zombie Horde. Zombie Horde is a multiplayer game mode of magic (that I had nothing to do with making but enjoy playing) where players team up against a 100 card special deck on auto-pilot.

- Players share a turn like 2-headed giant.
- Players have life = 20x(#ofPlayers)
- The horde has no life total, but takes damage in the form of mill.
- Players win once the horde has no cards remaining on the battlefield and in the library.
- Players receive 3 turns to "prepare for battle" before the Horde takes it's first turn.

The Horde deck is composed of 70 2/2 zombie tokens, 10 5/5 zombie giant tokens (zendikar), and 20 power zombie creatures/spells. At the beginning of the horde's turn, instead of a draw step, it reveals the top card of its library. If it is a token, it puts it on the battlefield and repeats this process. If it's a non token, it plays it without paying its mana cost, and the draw phase ends.

I didn't bring his house rules, but I can get those too if you would like.

Kaylesh

You are great. Those were exactly the rules I was referring too. The house rules were mainly based on his deck, my event deck is quite different so I guess I'll have to set those up as I go along, as you noticed :p
Main things were that horde exiles from grave top down, which could happen with some of my zombies too. And some bonuses if you kill specific creatures. That could be a good nod to do too. Rules on specific zombies anyway. (Gempalm comes to mind)
