When he's killed he makes tokens with trample, and that's kind of the whole theme of the deck so he's useful even when he's gone.

Also he's 6 bucks compared to the 15-30 dollars the big better ones are

In addition, just thought of this. He's not a legendary creature. You can have two of him out which is pretty awesome. Lol
