New to legacy

so I want to get into legacy but I don't really know what deck I should start out with. People tell me red deck wins is one of the more strait forward decks to play but what other real starting points do I have. I'd rather not have to buy FoWs and wastelands right out of the gate so I'd like a deck to ease myself into the format and get a hang of the speed and tricks of the format

Test out decks on XMage or Cockatrice.

Cheap decks include:
Oops all spells
Dredge
Landless dredge
Burn

And other decks when substituting shocks for duals.

You could pick a "Stompy" deck, like soldiers. It's not tier one but I can be good and for tier 2 decks it's super cheap. Storm is another option. I play elves which is cheaper then some, but 3-4 gaea's cradles doesn't count as "budget"

It's a combo deck. You use {Balastrude Spy} or {Undercity Informer} to mill your whole deck because you play no lands. When you mill, {Narcomemba}s come onto the battlefield and you sacrifice them to flashback {Dread Return}. With Dread you reanimate {Angel of Glory's Rise} which in turn reanimates {Azami, Lady of Scrolls} and {Laboratory Maniac}. Then you draw a card and win
