If I wait until the endstep for  {Gleancrawler}s effect to trigger can I then sac  {Child of Alara} and get all my creature back that it destroys.

Is that how they stack?

Yes
As long as CoA is dies with glean's ability on the stack CoA would kill everything off only for Glean's ability to return them to your hand.  As for a ruling on the subject.

112.7a: Once activated or triggered, an ability exists on the stack independently of its source. Destruction or removal of the source after that time won't affect the ability. Note that some abilities cause a source to do something (for example, "Prodigal Pyromancer deals 1 damage to target creature or player") rather than the ability doing anything directly. In these cases, any activated or triggered ability that references information about the source because the effect needs to be divided checks that information when the ability is put onto the stack. Otherwise, it will check that information when it resolves. In both instances, if the source is no longer in the zone it's expected to be in at that time, its last known information is used. The source can still perform the action even though it no longer exists.

In fact, if you play  {Gleancrawler} after the wrath procs, it will do its thing.

True but he was talking about doing this durring the endstep with them both on the field.

He could still do it during the endstep if he was able to  flash it in with something like {Prophet of Kruphix}.
Or during a mainphase like you said.

If you flash in a creature with a 'At the beginning of the end step' ability during the end step, the ability won't go off because the beginning of that step has already passed.

You can however react to the triggering of  {Gleancrawler} by saccing Alara. First Alara will kill all, putting the creatures in the gy by the time Glean resolves.

Which is, actually, what the original post was asking about!

Guess I misread OT. The simple answer is: yes you can!
