They are always 2/2 when face down
You pay {3} to put it in
The morph cost is to flip her over

People cheat by putting a land or a spell down "morphed" hoping their opponent does do something to find out they are cheating.

Seems kinda lame to do that for a 2/2. Lol. Does the player just announce that they are playing it face down as a 2/2 though? There's no need to spoil what it is? I'm just trying to understand if there's an element of surprise to it. If so, that makes it more interesting.
That is correct. You just pay the 3 mana and place it face down on the stack, waiting to resolve. You do not announce what it is.

Thank you. Haha. I actually looked up rulings on it for once and while I didn't find anything that said you had to announce, I figured that made it fair game to lay down a veritable trap card.

As the guy who do does most of the judge calls at FNM at my lgs, I'm really not looking forward to morph. Just because I know how much I'm going to get called called for people not revealing a morph card after a game (probably by mistake, without thinking) and then I'm going to have to make someone real unhappy by ruling.

Just print the rule out and have it by the sign up sheet!

That's actually a really good idea! Thank you, I'm going to do that!

Morph has never used the stacked.

When you're paying a morph cost, you're simply ending the effect that keeps the card face-down.  You announce you're paying a morph cost, flip the card face up to reveal the correct cost, then pay it (and anything relevant triggers).  Nothing in this action uses the stack, except for any resulting triggers.  Part of this, I'd suspect, is because you flip the card face-up anyways to show the cost you're paying.  What if people could respond to that?
You: "Activate Morph to flip {Akroma, Angel of Fury} face-up."
Me, now knowing it's a Face-Down Akroma: "Response, {Stifle} the Morph, then {Shock} her" (Or just "Shock before she flips)

That'd feel really, really bad.

I kinda have a feeling this is gonna make fnm much more tedious.

Imagine playing against it the first time... Ok, I'll let this little 2/2 through, then.... WHAM!!!  {Grinning Demon}!!! There goes six life...

Imagine a deck full of morph and you don't know which to counter because they can only be countered when cast but not when flipped.

Imagine you counter the {Scornful Egotist} instead of the {Akroma, Angel of Fury}

Can you morph while the spell is still on the stack?  For instance cast akroma morphed. Opponent counterspells and in response pay the morph cost to flip the spell and make her an illegal target.

So you can flip them after blockers have been declared and cause they does use the stack the opponent does not even get a chance to respond. That seems a lot like cheating, it is one thing to  {Titanic Growth} for the kill, but at least it give them the chance to respond with something like fog.

Ohhhh wrll that is good to hear

no one can respond to the action of flipping a morphed card. however, once the card is flipped, any abilities that trigger will trigger and those can be responded too. if there are no abilities that trigger then priority goes back to normal and active player will be able to act and then non active players. its not that they're responding to the morph its that priority still passes like normal after the creature is face up.

On another note they reveiled there is a 1 mana Artifact that lets you look at face down creatures your opponents control coming out in the first expantion from kahns
