The Great IMTG Alter Exchange

It's time for another exchange! This time, we'll be doing alters! You don't have to be artistic, just as long as you put some effort into it. It can be anything from a full art commander down to a set of lands that you drew the Cookie Monster on. There are two main rules though: you have to try your best, and it has to be playable. I don't want to hear about people receiving a single {bellows lizard} with a stick figure drawn on it. If you want to do an edh staple, go for it! If you want to make a land draft set (10 of each basic) that's totally rad! If you know they have a modern pod deck, why not send em an altered pod? Below is a list of cheap staples, which would be acceptable!

Elvish mystic/llano war elves/arbor elf
Doom blade
Farseek
Explosive vegetation/sky shroud claim/rangers path
Lightning bolt
Ponder
Preordain
Counterspell
Etc.

This will work like a secret Santa exchange. I'll keep a list of participants. Let's have all entrants in by August first, and everything shipped by August 8th. There is, however, a barrier for entry: you must have at least 3 successful trades. Other than that, just have time to commit. If you are unsure if your gift is suitable, just pm me. If you want to ask your person a question, also pm me. I will send them an anonymous letter with your question.

To recap:
Enter by august 1st, ship by August 8th.
Send a playable card you altered. It can be as many as you like.

As fun as it sounds, my artistic ability would be drawing a stick figure on a bellows lizard...  So it just seems pointless for me to try and then I maybe get something amazing, while my recievee would get something horrible.

There's no feel-bad for it. Everyone has their own level of ability, and I'd still love to get an alter of some sort, even if it's not great.

I think what could help this is making a list of cheap common staples for formats or junk rares useful in EDH

Farseek
Fog
Lightning bolt
Llanowar elves
Elvish mystic
Doom blade
Zhur Ta ancient
Ruric Thar
Regeneration

Etc

This way people aren't going to get completely useless cards and won't feel like they need to participate with a mythic or staple rare that is at least $5.
