Do you guys think that sunblade elf has potential I make it into modern zoo?

cltrn81

Yes I think a chance ... but he is not a game changer.  2/2 for 1 mana is efficient but there are better options for zoo

Munchlax

It'll be in budgeted zoo decks though

None of the other 1 drops are expensive except guide

No it won't.
Why not?
Vexing Devil is better? All the other 1 drops are 5 at most besides Goblin Guide, which isn't even used in fast naya that much.

No, the one drop slot has {Goblin Guide}, {Loam Lion}, {Wild Nacatl} and {Kird Ape}. It's ability is irrelevant or should be for a zoo game plan.

I don't know if the elf is playable or not, but I think that the 5 mana creature buff on the elf would be more relevant in a creature based deck then the 1 extra toughness of {loam lion}

Not when it is weaker than other creatures that are used as slow burn spells. That is Fast Naya, and five mana isn't that worth it if they haven't stabilized.

Exactly. Because it's fast Naya, you will have spilled your hand out within the first four turns. Then often times you won 't have much else to spend your mana on, and when you are playing against other creature decks (the mirror maybe?) the ability could allow for an alpha strike. Not saying it would happen a lot, but I think it would still be more relevant than that measly 1 extra toughness.

Why would it be more relevant in a creature based match when you are either the control or aggressor? If you have five mana as the aggressor and you use that ability, you should have already won. If you're the control, why you use the ability at all?

And the only way that this would be used is in Fast Naya. Noble Hierarch and Wild Nacatl fill the area of Naya Midrange and their 8 one drops.

Domain Zoo wouldn't push for more green sources when their mana base is edgy at best. And a 2/2 doesn't seem like a place to go for when there is a 3/3. They also use their extra mana on Snapcaster Mage+Tribal Flames.

The card doesn't fit the curve and is worser then Selesnya Guildmage, which is also not used. The mana investment is the same just not when you play

Oh yeah! {noble hierarch} and {snapcaster mage} are definitely usable in a BUDGET zoo deck. Lmao, not only were we talking about budget decks, but we were also comparing it to {loam lion}, not {wild nacatl} or anything else.

Budget Zoo? gruul. You don't have to rely on inconsistent means to give this +1/+1 when you play it.

You need Fetchlands for this card to even reach its fun potential anyways. So why would you play budget when you can't have it be a consistent 2/2?
