Its not that Wizards doesn't want to support Legacy/Vintage, they just can't because of the infinite stupidity that is the Reserved List. Plus, could you imagine how much they have to make "Legacy Masters" or "Vintage Masters" so as to not have Chronicles 2? They would need to charge $40-$50.

What do you mean by Chronicles 2? I don't quite get the reference. Chronicles doesn't really have any money cards in it, so are you being sassy? Or are you saying that if they would be reprinting similar to it, it would just be a bunch of junk. OR POSSIBLY, there was a ton of printing of Chronicles, so that is why they have such low prices... Kind of a flood the market thing hahahaha I'm confused.
Chronicles is the reason we have the Reserved List. The first few sets of Magic were severely underprinted and even the most basic cards cost a lot of money. Chronicles reprinted may of these cards and Magic players everywhere lost hundreds and thousands of dollars as $100 cards became $0.50 rares. This made everyone mad at WoTC, so in response Wizards created the Reserved List promising that certain cards wouldn't be reprinted and assuring the Magic community that they would never lose so much again. This is what I meant by avoiding a "Chronicles 2", if "Legacy Masters" were printed at too low a price, it would cause a lot of legacy staples to plummet and hundreds of players and collectors would get pissed off, but if they charged too much, it wouldn't do anything. The point is moot though, because "Legacy Masters" could only reprint cards not on the reserved list and with the ABUR (Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, Reserved) duals are on there so Legacy land bases would still cost hundreds.

I personally say screw the collectors. They are the ones who ruin legacy, and they even make modern extremely hard to get in to. Why should wizards care so much about them anyways? It's the PLAYERS who buy a substantial portion of their new product anyways and where they make most of their money. Wizards should stop allowing for starcitygames to completely dominate the magic market like they do. Idk, I guess MTGO is the place to go if you are a player who wants an easier way in but I still say F the collectors

To quote Will Ferrell in Austin Powers, "You are preaching to the converted." I hate that collectors make MTG so expensive and if there were a way to stop them from buying MTG cards, I'd say let's do it, but sadly there is nothing we can do. The only way to save legacy is to eliminate the Reserved List. I sent in a suggestion to MaRo asking that he release a "Legacy Masters" with cards that are slightly worse than the ABUR duals, but still playable (like a shockland that deals 1, {Force of Will} that you lose 2 life, or {Ancestral Recall} where you can't force your opponent to draw), but price the packs at like $15 so that the real cards (ABUR duals, {Ancestral Recall}, and {Force of Will}) don't completely plummet. I haven't heard back yet though.... :/

{ancestral recall} is not legacy legal but I get your point and like the idea
