Got in an argument over this when my friend targeted my {Vampire Nighthawk} with a monstrosity of 6. I said that he has deathtouch and would deal damage to Polukranos when polukranos deals damage to it thus killing them both. My friend said nighthawk dies before it gets to deal damage.
For Reference: {Polukranos, World Eater}

Is his Monstrosity damage dealt first, then if the creature is alive, he gets damage dealt to him?
Or
Is his monstrosity damage dealt at the same time the creature deals damage to him?

704.5h. If a creature has toughness greater than 0, and it's been dealt damage by a source with deathtouch since the last time state-based actions were checked, that creature is destroyed. Regeneration can replace this event.

9/15/2013: As Polukranos's triggered ability resolves, Polukranos deals damage first, then the target creatures do. Although no creature will die until after the ability finishes resolving, the order could matter if Polukranos has wither or infect.

Both die.

Thank you. So the ability resolves all the way. Then creatures die. That makes sense.
