Consider cards that give Nekusar infect. He deals the damage, so if you give him infect he'll give poison. {Glistening Oil}, {Phyresis}, {Tainted Strike}, and {Grafted Exoskeleton} are the main ones in Nekusar's colors. There's also a {Mind Control}–type spell that grants infect, but I don't use it.

Also, if you're using Niv-Mizzet, you might want to consider using {Curiosity} and {Ophidian Eye} as a secondary win con. In that case, you may want to throw in an Eldrazi titan to make sure you can keep your combo going.
