Consuming vapors play?

Opponent had {Spiked Jester} and {Vampire Nighthawk} on the battlefield nighthawk had {Madcap Skills} I had a ready to rebound consuming vapors
My turn comes up rebound it at my upkeep in response to my vapors I play {Pharika's cure} with my now untapped lands to kill jester gaining a total of 5 life.
Question.
Am I allowed to do that? Or would vapors go off a step early before my land untapped?

Ok great. I get confused between upkeep/untap I wasn't sure which happens first. Thank you!
