My friend is trying to start a {progenitus} deck. He msgd me and said he is having troublemaker trying to figure out how to run it. I feel he is getting excited about a lot of big 5 colored creatures and is just getting overwhelmed. Any suggestions I can relay to him? I suggested a sliver route for creature base mainly for the mana production and the strong synergy between them. Anyone using this particular commander have any words of wisdom?

Can't say I own a progenitus deck, but I have experience with these decks. run a lot of mana fixing. that's important. big creatures is fun but try some large splashy spells like the ultimatums, can be a lot of fun (for the ones casting it at least!)

Double-O-Scotch

{celestial dawn}
{academy rector}
{mirari's wake}
{enlightened tutor}
{chromatic lantern}

Sparkle Ninja

AdamS

well having 5 colors opens his gameplay to my favorite 3 creatures
  {Zur the Enchanter}
{Kaalia of the Vast}
{Maelstrom Archangel}

also add in  {Conspiracy} to make kaalia more effective
with theros releasing bestow creatures you can tutor a creature with zur and the archangel is self explanatory
use conspiracy call dragon and have {Utvara Hellkite}
this is the basic structure of my deck

and add {door to nothingness} just for the hell of it

Not necessarily. Those are all good cards to  have in a five colour. The only reason I don't play them in my Progenitus Super friends is because 42 planeswalkers takes up a lot of space

imFourth of Phils

run a white and green deck, but still {Progenitus} is the commander, same as my {Child of Alara}, has fast mana ramp

Yeah. It's fun though. I just got new Ajani for the deck

MarduArrow

 {Elvish Piper} and {Quicksilver Amulet}

MuggyWuggy

Bumping my 5 color for reference.

Mana fixing with essential bombs and some removal are what you need!
