My school has this stupid rule where you have to get 10 hours each year and have at least 40 by the time you graduate in order to graduate. I have 3 older siblings, one of which had the most in her class which was 517 hours I was determined to beat her. And I did in 2 years, and now as a junior I have 620 at this very moment. What do you all think about this community service thing? How do you think I'm doing with this?

While I think it's a bit rank for your school to make you do that, I also think it makes people more humble and gives them the opportunity to realise that what great things they have at home.

It'll look good in your college application and it also doesn't hurt that you spent that time helping others.

I have no idea how many hours I have. I've volunteered for a lot of stuff, considering I was in NJROTC for three years, did random stuff at college, and helped out at the local animal shelter quite a bit.
