So I'm thinking of tweaking my Merfolk modern deck. Aside from {Mana Leak}, what are some good counters/instants/whatever I should keep an eye out for?

You could {Muddle the Mixture} or tutor one of your Merfolk. Unfortunately it does not hit creatures.

Don't forget {Dispel}! Also {Echoing Truth} is so boss against token decks, especially infinite token combos. "Oh no! You just made 1,000,000,000 tokens!? Its too bad it was all for nothing..."
