Kalonian Hydra + Corpsejack

Would the counters technically be placed on Kalonian Hydra since it enters with them? Would they double when he enters and then quadruple after he swings, or just quadruple after the swing?

If you want to get technical, the hydra doesn't enter with the counters, it hits the battlefield, then you immediately place the counters before anything else at all can happen, includeing death.  So yes, the corpse jack menace would double the counters.  And then it would double again when you attack.

Now you just need a {death's presence} for when it dies, or to just get counters onto other things to start doubling.
