Does {day of judgement}, or any board wipe, affect planeswalkers?

Yes pulse will. So will {Planar Cleansing}. But not day of judgement. Plainswalkers are not creatures (unless, of course, one becomes one, like {Gideon Jura}). Plainswalkers are nonland permanents, though. So they can be affected by {Maelstrom Pulse} and the like.
