 {Phelddagrif}

Are there any combos with  {Phelddagrif} that stop it from helping your opponents?

Gorzo

Nothing can stop half of an activated ability without stopping the entire ability, so technically no. The exception is his white ability, it would be possibly to prevent an opponent from gaining the life with {Skullcrack} or {Stigma Lasher} or something like that (which must resolve before the Hippo's ability).

But the idea behind the card is synergy. For example, use the green ability as often as you want, and as soon as those 1/1 tokens become a problem, cast {congregate}, then hit them with {Shrivel} or a 1 damage {Earthquake} or something. Want to use the white ability? Play a {Malignus}. Blue Ability? {Consecrated Spinx} loves that idea. {Mind's Eye} is great too. Or you use it a bunch and hit them with {Cerebral Vortex}.

T1: phelddagrif.
T2: your opponent starts laughing, realizes you are serious, and scoops.
