Would the  {Wight of Precinct Six} get plus one tokens for creatures in his opponents graveyard if there is a  {Ground Seal} in play?

Tokens cease to exist anywhere but the battlefield.

704.5d: If a token is phased out, or is in a zone other than the battlefield, it ceases to exist.

Otherwise yes because wight is getting ALL creatures and not targeting any one.

So, sorta related question, do token creatures hit the graveyard still? Of course after the fact they cease to exist.

No. They die but cease to exist. Because all my friends are token decks, mostly, I've researched this A LOT.

That's not what he was asking, though. Sorry if I seem rude...

Mlerner12

But the tokens aren't in the graveyard to give the boost. But yes, wight would be booster.

Byerley121

Tokens do hit the graveyard,
Enabling  {Blood Artist} and other cards like it, it also enables morbid. Although tokes go to the graveyard the minute they hit it they cease to exist.

Agarrita80

Tokens die, but afterwards just fizzle they don't go into graveyard

There's way too much going on here :P let me just answer this in one clear post. It's all been said above, but too many posts have been off or contradicting the answer to make it clear which ones were correct.

1: {Wight of Precinct Six} does not gain counters or tokens. He has a static ability that checks for a value, then modifies power/toughness based on that value. Because this ability does not target the cards in graveyards, {Ground Seal} does not stop it.

2: Tokens do in fact go to the graveyard. They completely enter the graveyard. All abilities relating to "dying" or entering graves will trigger and go on the stack. But, before any player recieves priority to do anything (resolve those abilities or respond to them), state base is checked, sees a token in a zone that is not the battlefield, and removes it from the game.

I hope that clarifies things. Careful with answering rules, this thread got really off and confusing :P

Yeah, they do, but since they leave IMMEDIATELY Wight would get the boost for, like, 1/100 of a second, then instantly lose it. It didn't really matter unless you have a "Leaves the battlefield" ability.

Sorry for all the confution. We were drinking and playing magic when I wrote the post. When I was done wrighting I said to myself "ahh they'll read the cards and get what I mean" In the future I will be accurate whith my references to the cards text and thank you for the clarification of what ground seal affects.
