This may sound dumb but I want to be sure.

Using say a  {Boros Charm} (giving indestructible ) would do nothing to a  {Killing Wave} because sacrifice is different than destroy, correct?

Paraluke

Yea. Different. But both goes to the graveyard.

Rasser

Wouldn't help with  {Mutilate} either.

Also  {Regeneration} would be as useless.

Paraluke

Basically indestructible means "cannot be destroyed".

So anything that destroys, or say destroy, does not destroy it.

Rules wise, lethal damage is a form of destroy, if I did not recall wrongly, and hence is protected by indestructible.

Having a toughness lower or equal to zero is a state-base check which puts the creature to the graveyard, therefore not a "destroy".

What happens if someone casts  {Dead Weight} on your  {Lotleth Troll}, but when opponent casts the card you Activate the trolls regeneration ability? Does it regenerate?

{Dead Weight} never deals damage to the Troll or attempts to destroy it. It simply reduces the power and toughness. After state base is checked, {Lotleth Troll} has power less than (or equal to, depending on toughness) 0, causing it to die. However you can respond to the weight by ditching a few dudes to the Troll in order to give him a few counters to keep him alive before the weight resolves. The regeneration is useless in this case though. No lethal damage or destroy effects happen.
