Ok this may seem like a stuipid question to most of you but i have never played mtg with a sideboard and i have no clue what it is. Can someone please explain to be the basics of what it is and how to use it? Thanks (:

The sideboard of a deck currently must consist of fifteen (exactly fifteen, no more, no less) cards.  You can swap these cards with cards in your main deck at a one to one basis between games in a round in tournaments.  I'm not sure, but I think your deck and sideboard must be reset after rounds.  Those are the current rules. But, with the release of m14, the rules for sideboards are changing.  When m14 comes out, a sideboard must consist of no more than 15 cards (that means you can have less).  Also, the rules will allow you to swap cards at ratios other than 1 to 1, as long as after swapping, your deck has at least 60 cards, and your sideboard has no more than fifteen.
