Anybody get some sweet finds for Record Store Day? The one record store in my city didnt have anything good but a few bands played, so that was pretty cool.

I had work. I wanted to pick up the Liquid Swords chess box. And Brian Eno/Grizzly Bear remix split.

That sucks. I'd love that chess box. Liquid Swords is one of my favorite rap albums.

No doubt. One of the best rap albums of all time IMO. I'll try to get it off eBay, worst comes to worst.

I was lucky enough to snag the Waaves/Trash Talk split last year. This year, the guy made orders too late and got what was left from his supplier. Which was nothing noteworthy.

Trash Talk is great. I have trouble finding their stuff. They release so much material. Sabertooth Zombie is another, I have like 15 of their albums, I don't think that is even close.

Edit: Liquid Swords chess box is going for $80 on eBay. So I am the proud new owner of one. Now if I'm going to open it, that is another question.

Trash Talk is amazing live. Seen 'em five times. Never a let down. Sabertooth Zombie is great too. I saw them at a house show with Ceremony a few years ago. It was incredible.

What is this about?

Record Store Day! A celebration of music that record stores participate in. Its every April on the third Saturday.

I've seen Trash Talk twice. Once with Weekend Nachos, and another time on the Envy / Touché Amoré / ...And So I Watch You From Afar tour. That was an amazing show.

Man that sounds like a great show. I'd love to see Envy. TT is so crazy live. The best show I saw them at was with Negative Approach at an FFF after party. Lee had a busted knee and was still going ape💩.

I wish they would just put out EPs. Eyes and Nines and 119 were just okay. Most of it felt like filler. Walking Disease/Plagues/Awake/etc. are all great.

Yeah it's pretty cool. A lot of bands put out special releases to commemorate RSD and record stores usually put on shows and such.

Edit: Just think of Game Day but for music.
