I just realized how ridiculous  {Omnath, Locus of Mana} and  {Doubling Season} would be... It gets +1/1 COUNTERS so DS would make twice that. Holy hell! That will get retarded!

No that's not right he just gets +1/1 for all green in your mana pool he never gets an actual counter.

This is correct. If anything gets +1/+1 counters, it will say the word "counters". Something like "Omnath gets a +1/+1 counter for each green mana in your mana pool". It would have to be a bit more specific, but you get the idea. Just saying "gets +1/+1" means its simply a buff, no counters.
