I don't mean to be a jerk, but what kind of Control Deck is losing to {Reckless Waif}? It's not {Mayor of Avabruck} or anything.

Mayor is dangerous because he buffs humans, if you flip it it creates wolves and buff those wolves.

{Reckless Waif} is a 1/1 vanilla that has an extremely low chance of flipping, and when it does it's a 3/2 vanilla. {Vexing Devil} is better, {Stromkirk Nobel} is better and even {Stonewright} is probably better.

Gonna have to disagree there.  I've used all but the nobles and waif is still my definite pick

Control decks usually don't play until turn 3-4 and even then no creatures are out until 4-5, so being able to flip to 3 damage turn 2 and push out 9 damage before they can answer anything? How is that bad?

Sure control decks can answer it early, but they usually don't

Well I hear complaints about vexing devil but turn two doing 13 damage with 2 of those then miracle thunderous rath turn 2!? I disagree with anything against vex he's always done the job for me

That's uber conditional, but nice.

I am not aware of any control deck that plays this way, let alone would go 3 turns without playing a spell. Even Superfriends plays {Thought Scour}, {Pillar of Flames}, {Azorius Charm}, {Think Twice}, {Augur of Bolas}, {Izzet Charm} or something. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'd never recommend {Reckless Waif} in a deck that didnt discourage spell casting (like a deck without {Thalia, Guardian of Thraben} or {Huntmaster of the Fells})

That hand happens so rarely that it's impossible to plan around its probability. The reason most players (including myself) don't like {Vexing Devil} is because it puts the choice into the opponents hands. The opponent will always choose what is best for them. Turn 1-3 it works, it is almostly useless afterwards.

I was stating what happened last Friday.. But vex has never messed me up always a good draw

I can easily say without vexing devil I would have beer made it in fnm so I strongly disagree and I'm not saying that's my "combo" it's just something cool that happened plus putting a 1 drop 4/3 late game works well for my deck.
