Good deals

Have any of you ever gotten cards for really good deals? Not just like cards on the lower side of average but really good discounts or trades? What was it and how?

A friend of mine was in need of cash so he was selling of cards, I offered him $15 for 2x {champion of the parish} and 2x {silverblade paladin} thought that was a really great deal.

I don't really get good deals but my brother does. He's such a Jew(no offense to Jews, I like you guys). We went into a magic shop a couple towns over, he had $188. 2 hrs later I was waiting in the car and he came with a {Jace the Mindsculpter}, {Iona, Shield of Emeria}, 2 {Baneslayer Angel}s (When she $30 +), 3 {Lotus Cobra}s (When they were $20 each) and a bunch of other random things. Of course this was when those cards were standard and overpriced.

Back in the day I would say around 94-95 I got about a fat pack worth of cards for $15. It had a few dual lands and other random revised stuff.

Not long ago, I ordered a bunch of cards from a random website to finish off a commander deck I'd been building. One of the cards I'd ordered was {Nivix, Aerie of the Firemind}. They sent me {Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind} instead. I thought that was a pretty good deal.

Got a play set of {Bonfire of the Damned} for 16$ during the pre order time

Foil  {Primeval Titan} at $98 for my groups 1 non foil  {Leyline of the Void}. We told the guy the there was a huge price difference but he didn't care about the value he just needed the card and didnt need the prime time.
