So if I attack with an {ichorclaw myr} equipped with {livewire lash} and I get double blocked by two {silverblade paladin}s soulbonded and I in response activate {unatural predation} and deal 2 damage to one of the paladins and kill it, does the damage from the dead paladin still go through and is it double strike damage?

Rass

The way I read it. If its after the declared blocker but before damage you will kill one and the other doesn't have double strike.

Because you have a chance to respond to the blockers before any combat damage is delt.

Jdogtoocool

That's what I'm thinking as well but I heard something about damage still going through after attackers and blockers are declared through special circumstances. The thing is I'm not sure if this is one of those special circumstances and what actually are those special circumstances.

Rass

The only rule change I herd of recently is if you block and you tap the creature it still does its damage. But I'm still a newb on the new rules.

BlackJester

If a creature dies after blockers but before combat damage the creature is still considered blocked but the dead deal no damage. 💀

Jdogtoocool

Unless theyre zombies dun dun dun

Poof

You might be thinking of once a creature is Declared blocked it remains blocked even if you kill off the blocker or give your guy flying.

Jdogtoocool

No that's not it but I got over that confusion already
