Packs of Alpha sell for 500-1000 around here. If you found for $3.50, I'll take a few hundred.

I think i might know what op is talking about. My local comic book store sells old packs of magic cards cant remember if he had alpha or beta. But what they do is they buy them from an under ground printing company he sells them like $15 dollars i belive ill have to check again.
