So my friend group really loves to play casual multiplayer magic usually 2HG and FFA. Normally I play competitive magic (Standard mostly). I just want some suggestions as to what would be effective to play in this kind of format. Preferred colors are all but Green. For reference they play every from Mardu using {Blood Baron of Vizkopa} and other ex powerful standard cards, to tribal hydras

PS I like soft combos nothing instant win, rather it can actually be dealt with.

The store is in Buffalo Grove, they have players Kent Ketter, Andrew Tenjuim, Noah Cohen, and various other pros on their team. The event was produced by start city, and was held at the Accelerated Center in Northbrook IL

So today I participated in Regionals Illinois hosted by Nerd Rage Gaming and in round 3 I got placed in the feature match. I was on Jeskai Tokens and my opponent was on Sultai control. I gotta say it was really exciting for the first time, but watching the footage again I totally saw my play mistakes and how much better I can get.
