Why is the drum worth so much?

I believe modern Affinity decks are part of the reason. I can't wait to use with  {Nightveil Specter} personally

Since  {Nightveil Specter} is both black and blue, all effects of protection happen. In other words,  {Skylasher} will not take damage from the specter

My opponent Overloads {Mizzium Mortars} can I cast {Wild Ricochet} in response? If so do I get 2 overload copies of Miz. Mortars or just it's Traget part?

Per my understanding, you only get your own copy of overloaded mortars as an overloaded mortars has no targets, you can't choose new targets.

Is it true that you get packs when you play in an fnm?

My LG gives 2 to first and 1 to second. Tho it is a small LG

 {Burning Earth} {Pithing Needle} both do a number.  {Skullcrack} sometimes is nice.  {Slaughter Games} still works.  {Voice of Resurgence} and  {Rootborn Defenses} if playing Selesnya.

If playing casual, I always loved using  {Tinker} into  {Blightsteel Colossus}.

Mono black devotion took down GP Lousiville. It hits planes walkers and any creature at instant speed. In addition, Esper runs it and is the premier control deck.

It, like all creature aggro decks, lose to sweeps.  {Supreme Verdict} is amazing. Also,  {Cyclonic Rift} can do some wonders, though it only buys you a turn or 2
