I'm debating on making Anex and Cymede into my commander in a soldier themed deck, but I'm curious about their Heroic ability. I get that it triggers when a spell targets them, but my question is: If you cast a creature spell with an ETB effect that targets another creature, like  {Restoration Angel} for example, will that also trigger Heroic?

 {Avacyn, Angel of Hope} +  {Armageddon} has won my buddy many games in my playgroup. In his Kaalia edh no less.

When I first started playing Wizards had just finished the Urza block, so fellow friends hooked me up with a fun mono green deck with  {Pouncing Jaguar},  {River Boa},  {Rancor},  {Yavimaya Enchantress}, and  {Verduran Enchantress}, among other things.

Add  {Platinum Angel} to the mix and prepare to see scoops.

Stack your triggers right and it nets you a 13/13 merfolk beatstick that draws you 13 cards for a very efficient cost.
