Remember Modern is a really fast format. As a combo deck you'll have to put something Winning the game on turn 3 or 4. After that all the other combo deck will alreaddy killed you.
Always keep that in your mind when you'll build your deck.

Only 2 good choices for this kind of deck in modern atm.
First is to run Gift Ungiven for Iona / Elesh Norn / Unburial.
Second less effective is to try UB combo with Goryo's vengeance + Griselbrand / Emrakul.

All the other ideas seems to be too slow for actual modern metagame.

{Tree of Redemption} might be a solid card to include...

I will test it, but not sure cause of the defender (not pro-active card). But will see.

Agro-control Doran Commander deck. A bit more control than classic lists, making it still dangerous (Doran T2 following by big threats) and harder to beat/lock on long games.


For the land tutor, the idea is to find {Nature's Lore}  when i'll have the missing Bayou and Savannah.

For the armor, as i just edited the post, i prefer put in the  {Sword of Feast and Famine} as it is able to auto-win lot of match.

The last cards i would try to test for local metagames are  {Grand Abolisher} +  {Great Sable Stag}. Even if i don't have lot of problems with U base decks, these 2 cards will gave fast problems.
