Probably my last post on this thread before I become a beta tester, but here we go:

I'll re-iterate another users issue that was posted under "help" in that I have been getting frequent crashes in deck builder, most often after selecting a card I searched for.  Also has been happening in price search.

A suggestion for another unlockable feature:  custom lists
-I play online as well as IRL and have different needs for each.  Would also be useful to be able to have diff needed lists for my diff decks and be able to import them to the trade window as a whole or export them in text to a notepad file

Feedback - I like new text based system for the searched items.  It solved basically all problems regarding understanding of expansion symbols / abbreviations.  Still hope that one day we get use of the actual symbols back again, but that'll be a long time I'm sure.

Add a button so people can donate to me for being awesome.  J/K just got fired at work and it's hurting the pocketbook!  Ah well.

Oh and probably mentioned it already but the alignment for posting a reply on the phone is off so your first line of text is by default covered by the header

More stuff than I can possibly remember at this point and mostly related to searches....

Specifically, the search seems to randomly include partial matches.  I typically am searching by "standard" as that is what I mostly play and if I use more than one search term, especially for card text searches, I will get results in error.  Like, searching for "destroy target permanent" will yield results that have the word "permanent" but not "destroy"



Another big one - trade binder seems oddly broken.  I am trying to stash a potential trade there and it seems to mill my "to get" cards to 15 when I leave the app and come back.   I am using this to try and track my online needs vs my IRL needs.


And finally a suggestion - update prices link for updating prices on a particular page, be it a search result, deck, needed etc.  oh and tack on the suggestion to update prices for only specific blocks / expansions etc.  I don't really need to be storing prices on my phone for the entirety of the magic catalogue!  Lol


And again, great app.  Oh and one last thing - alternate, simple, single page life counter for 3+ player games, or a life total cheat page so all players can view their totals without having to swipe.  Honestly I use the official app for 3+ games and I don't like their app for anything else and would rather use yours for everything.

The card images in versions prior to 1.22.1 were hosted by me (and in very old versions by magiccards.info), I was managing them and paying for the bandwidth. Arguably that was copyright infringement. Now they are shown from Gatherer and we should be safe according to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inline_linking

Im no lawyer, but...  If you can post the image of a card as you sell your crap on eBay then you should most definitely be able to host scanned images of your own vast card collection.  (also, gatherer doesn't always get it right as my friend and I noticed today)

Also also, I think you should look into my suggestion of hotlinking the expansion symbols from gatherer as well, or another site like it.  The mana symbols are fine, though.  I can live without them, but if they can be hotlinked too, then great!

Maybe not hotlink but initially linked from outside source then cached for future use...

Worst art ever on a card... {Gift of the Woods} both versions.   Was just sorting through my old cards and noticed them.

Yes there is a whole lot of not-great art from 4th edition and earlier but gift just takes the cake for me.  Anyone else have terrible art on cards they'd like to share?

Ok here's my selected options:
Lock
Text
Innistrad block

All others are "any" or off

Then I put in an ability like "trample" "deathtouch" or anything else and nothing shows up for results.

Also, I was making a curse deck and searched "standard" for type: "curse" and about three curses that I know of where left out see also the post previous.

Bugs:
"shutter" won't open sometimes when switching to the camera for scanning

Like, make it the same as the symbol, but drawn and different enough so as not to violate copyrights.  Think like generic sodas imitating the look of coke cans to draw in consumers

Bugs:
Limiting searches to rarity doesn't work
Limiting searches to "Innistrad block" doesn't work (may not work with other blocks too - needs testing)

Toggle is the way to go,but for now people should limit their searches as much as possible...  I limit by format to reduce the number of possible matches for my tournament deck construction

Curse of death's hold scans, but doesn't show up in searches

Expansion symbol substitutes are... Not so good.  Ideas include:  use hotlinked symbols from the site you get the cards from or make a cartoonized version of the symbols.

Hey, I'm all for a laissez faire system and I only recently discovered your ap (it's amazing, btw. I love how much you've included and how easy it is to use. Though I do miss my D20's a bit...), I haven't even bought the full version (YET). So you've got my support, keep up the good work. =3

I highly recommend buying the full version.

One of the best things I have used it for is a deck tester for pre-sleeve test draws - like, you've built a deck and want to test it, but you don't want to spend the time to put them all in sleeves and your cards are too valuable to risk too many shuffles and you're not sure if your build is gonna work or not.

You can do that normally, sure, but scanning the cards makes it do much easier.  Make sure you have a good light source and scan away!

Also multiple decks and all that - everything is awesome.

I'm almost done with the version which removes trademarked stuff and replaces our nice scans with ugly Gatherer pictures. Expect an update sometime next week. I think our new mana icons will be nicer than originals ;)

So I have a red / black vamp deck that's doing really well except I don't have any red / black cards that are anti-mill... Any suggestions?

Whole thread just for me... That way I can just post whenever I have an idea.   Expect many bumps.

-"try again" button on the "feeling lucky" page (where the filter button normally is)

-filter for scans.  Would help the program identify cards easier if it knew generally what it could be

-option to disable full card view or button replacement to "show full card"... Given that wiz censored most of them this is a pretty important one, but if I'm just adding cards to a deck or something it can get annoying

-Move 'adding' function to just below card description

-get rid of card description & preview when scanning

-option to disable real time results when typing to search (lags it out too much)

-bug: when scanning and your phone is aligned upside down, scanner is misrepresented as right side up, yet scan box is set as upside down, resulting in bad scan

...that's it for now, i fully realize that these may be reposts, however I'm too busy scanning my collection into my precious to bother checking ;-)
