Rules / Re: Breya

Sadly, no.
Because you pay the cost before activating the ability, Breya would no longer be on the battlefield to deal the damage.
Incorrect.

If the ability is paid for, it will resolve and do damage, regardless of where Breya is. Just like if you remove her in response.

Also, you have to announce the ability, then pay costs.

Basically yes.

Rules / Re: Plasm Capture

No. Plasm Capture has a single target (the spell) and when it goes to resolve that target isn't legal anymore (because it's in a graveyard) so Plasm Capture is countered by the game rules (fizzles).

At the USA South Judge conference yesterday I passed my exam and interview.

Woot.

{Electrostatic Pummler} and {Metallurgic Summons} buyouts in an attempt to pump price artificially
Or because they're good cards an will likely see play. Pummeler specifically has been seeing some great results, and Summons is testing well in an Esper control deck I'm playing with.

But no, it's evil artificial buy outs.

Yes. One of the gatherer rulings explicitly says you can.

... Except one can.

Unless you're pointing out how you lost a match. But who plays Deso in Legacy?

Yes. You replaced the draw, but the life loss is part of Obs ability resolving.

Legendary creature x2 means pick 1 sac other
Token cannot attack since MM waits for the attacking declaration before creating the token, hence the token cannot attack (nor does it have haste)
Anything you put on the token is wasted even if you chose to keep token as it is exiled momentarily.
To clarify, the legend rule doesn't sacrifice all but one, you choose one and put the rest in the graveyard.

It's a minor but often relevant difference - anything that triggers off of sacrifice will not trigger due to the legend rule.

Truth by far. 2 mana to bounce all the blood moons vs 7.

Or would {take possession} be better?  Xantid swarm is useful against more decks, but can just eat a counterspell/bolt/swords

There's no way you're casting that without {Omniscience}... But it seems good.
It's Show and Tell. Who cares about mana costs?

so the "if you do" clause in Scion gets ignored?
No. The if you do includes the tutor.

When  {Progenitus} is put in the graveyard it triggers to be shuffle back into library.  It still hit gy.
Progenitus isn't a trigger. The Eldrazi Titans are triggers, but Progenitus (and {Blightsteel Collosus} for example) aren't - they're replacement effects.

But it doesn't matter if it hits the GY or not. The replacement effect just changes Scion to say (basically) "Tutor for a dragon, reveal it, and Scion copies it. Shuffle the revealed card into your library."
