Well first off commander is a casual format so you don't have to follow the new rule as long as your play group agrees. But it simply makes some combos that never could work before and personally I like that clones can't kill commanders. I found it a hit unfair anyway.

I was skimming some old UB control decks and came across an interaction I was not aware of before.  {Trading Post}'s third ability works marvelously well with one of my all time favorite cards,  {Wurmcoil Engine}. You can sac the engine then retreive the engine and play it again gaining 2 3/3 guys each time, and there are possible shenanigans with other cards of course. However this would fit nicely in a tezzeret control deck if some kind.

Time vault has already made an appearance in legacy many times with tezzeret as both enabler and untaper.

Good I'm glad I was testing my bant edh and came across it. What my real question is I guess is: is a sac ability like an activated ability or can it be used the turn it comes down?

Sat I have say {leyline of anticipation} or a similar card out. If someone uses some wrath effect can I surprise them by flashing in {dauntless escort} and sac him to counteract his wrath so to speak.

Those "change text" cards have so much potential. It's just hard to see the combos sometimes.

You can change he text to read "whenever another ally renters he battlefield" to "whenever another wolf enters the battlefield" which will make one wolf after another. I guess since its not may they would just keep coming into play.

{palinchron}, {deadeye navigator} make for good combo if your into that. Also any good stuff BUG deck should have {tooth and nail} for combo fetch. Damia is a great commander for a deck with just synergy and no combo too so whatever floats your boat.

Yea it pretty much becomes you win if there are 20 or more permanents which can add up with tokens and artifact shenanigans

Since we just talked about the new borborygmos combo let me just tell you guys that the other mythic rare I saw on mtgsalvation.com is {hellkite tyrant}.

Flying, trample
When ~ deals damage to an opponent gain control of all artifacts that player controls.
At the beginning of your upleep if you control 20 or more artifacts you win the game.
This card plus {mycosynth lattice} = win
It's too early to talk about gate crash but I'm an artifact fan and this could a fun combo

Well yes I meant a big trampler who can lightning bolt anything it's way is a little strong.

Being that he costs so much I see him as quite a crazy general in commander. Have a deck devoted to lands and you ramp into him to him real fast and with cards like crucible and {life from loam} you could easily do 21 general damage up to three turns. Ban hammer worthy maybe?
