Not sure if this is in the right area. Anyway, used to use this forum pretty frequently, looks like there's less active users now. Miss seeing iMtG in its prime, are there any planned efforts to increase usership or advertise iMtG somehow? Anyway users could help?

Whether or not {vorinclex, voice of hunger} is on the battlefield while untapping lands next turn, his ability still triggered when the lands were tapped to kill him while he was alive, and they will not untap for a turn. It matters that he is there for the tapping, not if he's alive later.

Legacy / Re: Brimaz vs monstary mentor
July 26, 2017, 06:43:25 PM
Depends on the rest of your deck. If you're spell based with stuff like forces and cheap cantrips, mentor is much better. If you're an aether vile or another creature based deck, then brimaz would be better.

Whats spaceshift?
Also, thank you for the response. Im actually building this and all im missing is 1 tamiyo, 1 snappy and 1 ephra. Any suggestions in cards or creatures?
4th wall is good for the missing snap. Cryptic command is amazing, but it's probably not in the budget. Going up to a fourth path never hurts either, as well as many of your other 3s like resto or reflector.

Deck could use a bit more in the mana base. Adding 2-3 {glacial fortress} would be a nice supplement. 4 {ghost quarter} are also very useful in the current meta being good against affinity, tron, scapeshift, and useful as disruption against decks like deathshadow who play few basics.

Hello... used to use this app pretty frequently. You can find some of my old mediocre articles still laying around. Quit magic end of 2015, didn't touch it at all last year. Might get back into magic?

As long as you do not have any unsettled trades from the past, welcome and enjoy the magic! ;)
No unsettled trades? Maybe a few unsettled arguements trying to reason with my 7-8th grade self?

Discussion / Re: Wilted Abzan or CoCo Abzan?
June 09, 2015, 04:36:48 PM
Coco abzan is a miles better deck. Wilted abzan has completely fallen off the meta d abzan decks because of it. Coco has the ability to play a fair Aggro game with townships and with disruption or even win out of no where  with the combo. It has more disruption vs every deck post board with the silver bullet package and can destroy decks trying to play a fair game. Coco is now the go to abzan archetype considering the best midrange deck now is jund.

Rules / Viscera seer to itself
May 27, 2015, 12:11:38 AM
Can you sacrifice viscera seer to itself, and get scry.if this does not work, is it because it is no longer alive at the time of resolution of the activated ability, or does it work?

Not the valid argument if the creature is efficient or they lose If they don't have removal for it.

Rules / Shaman of the great hunt
April 06, 2015, 07:41:31 PM
if a player activates {shaman of the great hunt} and you in response kill it do they still draw a card. (Shaman is the only creature he has on board). I'm not sure if his ability checks plainly on activation or if it checks again upon resolution. Thanks

{flamewake Phoenix} is a must for combating other midrange strategies. Also a fine card vs control.
