Bounce counter and tapdown for Early game?

Bouncing and tapping are tempo plays that are meant to protect an actually established board, or else you just gave bavk initiative to your opponent.

Counter spells feel really bad when you can only hit low value targets, because they are also meant to generate tempo when they aren't just winning you the game.

Also these are the same cards you need to enable your engines.

The idea falls apart very quickly.

The problem with the name a card variety of the effect is this. The card is strongest when you are able to rip a copy of the card from their hand the turn before they play it. Because most likely, they had set up their strategy around it and you had actually caused them to lose a card in their hand and not the deck. However when a deck has more than one win condition the problem situation arises when you don't know which bomb they're holding. Back in zendikar-scars standard a common situation was needing to name {inferno titan} or {primeval titan}. More often than not the player would either have the opposite bomb in their hand, which you could not react against, or worse have both in their hand making your ultimate decision pointless. Extirpate and cranial extraction are different, because they're cheaper so they would not cost you your turn to play and came in early enough to target counter spells or removal to protect your own plays.

Erm no, see it's weird because the god effect is actually a conditional which makes it not a creature.

It reads if your devotion is less than x than this god is not a creature

As opposed to it being just an enchantment (subtype god I guess?) with

If your devotion is x or greater this god becomes a creature.

If it were the latter then what you said would be true. But because it isn't the particulars that change are.

If the god has enough devotion and there are 5 or more enchantments, starfield of nyx will always take precedence. This is because the "not a creature" effect is not in place so the only timestamp to be applied is nyx turning a god into a probably weaker creature.

If you do not have enough devotion but you do have 5 or more enchantments, this is where timestamps matter. If starfield of nyx entered battlefield last, than the starfield stamp will override the god's "not a creature" stamp. But if the god entered last, for example if you recurred it with the starfield, than the god's "not a creature" stamp will override the starfield stamp.

No, switching back and forth does not change the timestamps, so each scenario remains the same as stated.

You apply continuous effects by time stamp order. So there are 4 situations given devotion and enchantments on field

1. 4 or less enchantments, not enough devotion.
2. 5 or more, not enough devotion
3. 4 or less, enough devotion
4. 5 or more, enough devotion

1. Regardless of which entered first the god will not be anything
2. If the god entered first, than the starfield will take precedence. If the starfield came first the god will just be an enchantment
3. Regardless of which the god is as printed.
4. Regardless of which starfield will take precedence.

For clarification the 2 conditional continuous effects here as written are summed up as
1. Not enough devotion? not a creature.
and
2. Enough enchantments? Creature.

I mean depends on format, and what you want to accomplish, bellower is just supposed to be a high value but fair card. There are very few singular cards in green that are broken strong at that mana cost, because that isn't what green is about.

Correct, which means you could potentially morph say {willbender} or {voidmage apprentice} in order to save your food chain.
