While the preceding may indeed have contributed to the original bug, Piotr pointed out that an update was pushed that fixed things, and that's why it sudden;y started working, because I have auto update for apps turned on. :|

It will do so when we implement count selection in Choose From List. Otherwise it would be like starting to run before you learn how to walk, in terms of internal architecture.

Maybe we can have exception report in the meantime. Should already be possible to write using Predicate and Bookmarks?

An exception report would be a nice stopgap. I'll make an effort to learn predicates well enough to try and contribute to documenting this.

When I add a card to a collection, I'd like to be able to edit that and provide a note specific to that card. In this way, I can make my own notes, perhaps including what it transforms to, or how I intend to play it, and so on. I would want these notes to be searchable. This would be a quick fix to my earlier request to allow searching for a card by its transformed name without needing to add that card to the collection, and provide other benefits besides.

Perhaps if these were entered as multiple free-text fields, a feature down the road could be added in which automatic notes for attributes such as the name and properties of the b-side could be added via the card database.

I'm not privy to your database structure, but it seems this would need to be accomplished by allowing such a field in the card database, as I expect the structure for the cards merely refs the database ID of the card, and the app resolves this ref.

At any rate, there's my idea.

Shouldn't flipping the "My Precious" switch not only warn when I add a card I don't own, but also check for quantity? If so, does it do so in some non-obvious way?

So, it's working now. Here's what I did, besides stuff I did in iMTG (non-plus) that shouldn't affect anything:

Force quit the iMTG Plus App
Restore Purchases
Test Again with the [[Abandon Hope]] card – this time binder filtering worked, but the switches still unset themselves
Restore Decks and Collections
Test with my cards and decks – everything works

This leaves me to wonder what weird thing I did to cause this. My best theory is that it was one or all of these (this is also the order I did them, as I remember):
1. I deleted every binder and deck (why does the app crash when you delete the only remaining deck?)
2. I purchased everything ("I'll Have it All" and iMTG Server Sponsorship)
3. I made a single binder and set the type to "My Precious"
4. Note that until further down in this process, I didn't set a Trade or Needed binder
5. I made a couple decks, then added those decks to my new binder
6. I messed around with the switches and search filtering, but nothing worked.
7. I made another binder, also setting its type to "My Precious"
8. I made more decks, noting that the switches and filters still didn't work
9. I made a needed binder
10. I did more testing with the switches and binder filters, found nothing worked, and made this thread


None of this may help, and I'm not sure I can replicate the bug anymore, but I'm willing to try if it'd be helpful.

I would have thought "Restore Purchases" in iMTG would give me the purchases I made in iMTG Plus, but I suppose not... that's a bummer, because iMTG Plus is completely broken now, at least for me...

I've tried several troubleshooting steps. This also applies to my email to Piotr, in which I explained that binder filtering in decks wasn't working either.

I backed up to Dropbox and then reset to factory defaults, and added a sample card ([[Abandon Hope]], as it happens), and attempted to use the switches and the search filtering. Neither worked.

I then installed iMTG, as opposed to iMTG Plus, and tested as above. That worked fine. So this bug appears to be confined to iMTG Plus.

Can you clarify this? Do you mean the app is aware of how to link them, or just the general fact that you should add them in appropriate corresponding numbers?

The concept of bordered buttons was abandoned by Apple in iOS 7. iMtG for Android is dead, I'm really sorry to say this. Perhaps it could be lichified in the future, we shall see. What I'm really saying is that if you see text which is coloured like a hypertext link but does not function then it should be reported as a bug.

Will you be staying with us for longer? I'm sure Reezel would not mind your company on the TestFlight platform ;)

That's a fair point that e.g. Mail.app doesn't use buttons for interactables like the breadcrumbs. On the other hand, the buttons for the swipe actions are colored boxes. :)

From a general design perspective, I like the app "Life Total", which employs some of the above concepts, though perhaps in a too-flashy way.

Yes, having the 4 players per screen would be nice with three friends; I'm trying to get a few people to start playing, and I only just started playing myself :)

Or is the binder smart enough to know that e.g. owning Vildin-Pack Outcast means I also own Dronepack Kindred? If I own both parts of a meld, is it smart enough to know I own 1x of the melded result?
