Rules / Endless Whispers and Summoner's Egg
January 10, 2017, 11:00:08 PM
Can I get your approval for this sick combo?

With {Endless Whispers} in play, I cast {Summoner's Egg} imprinting something totally rad, like say {Inverter of Truth}.

So I get the Egg killed and instantly two triggers go on the stack.

Now Ican choose the order in which to resolve them, so if I choose to solve the Endless Whispers one first... it means that when I solve the Summoner's Egg trigger right after, the "you" in it's text sees the new owner and the imprinted card comes in under his or her control?

Cowabunga!

Writing it down, seems like a greater stretch than I initially thought, dudes

If there is a way to make this work in a mono black build let me know pls,

Stay phat,
-d

Players still get priority before that resolves, so Player B can activate Geth to bring back the Rec Sage.

(Top)
Geth Activation
BGH Trigger
(Bottom)

Wow color me surprised!!
Mtg never ceases to amaze me, I had thought that the stack was much more static than that and one-way. Okay great!

Thank you so much bro.
May you have a Deflecting Palm on hand when you need it.

Thanks Remillo,

So Player B can bring back Reclamation Sage even though the kill spell that kills it is in the same stack as the kill ability that kills Geth?

Isn't the Reclamation Sage "not on the graveyard" yet? How can Geth target it?

Follow up,

Can you activate abilities and cast instants as reaction to a player /casting/ a creature and solve that before any Enters the Battlefield triggers trigger?

I think we can but we're not 100% sure

so my friend thinks there are some ways spells/abilities could go into the stack in between other spells ...

This came up in our game, is he unto something?

Player A casts {Big Game Hunter} targeting {Geth, Lord of the Vault}

Player B in response casts {Murder} to insta kill a 3rd creature {Reclamation Sage}

Player B also wants to then activate Geth's ability to return the Sage to the battlefield, before Geth dies himself.

Can the stack be manipulated or altered like that or should we pile/stack spell/abilities on it one way only (up top) and solve top to bottom like an unstoppable train (choo choo boogerwokers) ?

All comments appreciated.
Thanks.

Yea no,

The {Bazar Trader}(thank you) or say {Gauntlets of Chaos} are there to let you Gift him the {Summoner's Egg} so he's the controller and he's the "you" that will put into play the {Inverter of Truth} so he will exile his library. @redwolv 's got it, i think.

Important to note that when you Imprimt it with the Egg, your Inverter goes basically to its own little exile zone under the Egg. Then the Egg changes hands. Then when It's cracked and {Phage the untouchable} comes out --err I mean the Inverter it goes "pappa! Pappa! Where are you, and finds your opponent.

I researched all this when building my Zedruu deck.

Best regards

I got him fam :P

@noblellama The Perplexing Chimera route is too wonky. I got you fam.

What you're looking to do can be accomplished with {Summoner's Egg}

Imprint your big bad, then {Donate} (or that other goblin guy can't remember his name) it.

Then sit back and snicker until it pops or have a {shatter} effect ready to go.

I got you, fam.
Do you got him, fam?

Ok this thread has made me question everything I know...

So

Are you saying if there's an activated ability that has been activated on the stack and in response a lightning bolt is cast that kills that creature(doing the activation) the result is that the creature goes to the graveyard and the ability never resolves (exiled from stack?) ??

Rules / Tribal Instants?
November 11, 2015, 02:57:18 PM
What makes an instant, a tribal instant?

How are rules different for tribal instants?

{Blades of Velis Vel} for example, if cast with a few Allies on my side of the Battlefield... am I to assume that any "when another Ally enters the Battlefield" ability in my creatures trigger when my tribal instant is cast and put on the Stack?

Did I answer my own question?
