Help for iMtG / Database update for iPod 2nd Gen?
May 19, 2013, 11:38:38 PM
I've tried multiple times since the release of Dragon's Maze to update my database to include it, but even now it still says my database is up-to-date, even though when I click on a new card it pulls up something different with a similar name.

Have you stopped supporting iPod 2nd gen's? They only update up to like 4.0 or something and I know iTunes is in the 5's now.

Thank you,
Desolatus

Looks neat!

How is the playtesting going? What kind of decks (or specific cards) are you having trouble with? What are your favorable and unfavorable matchups?

This deck looks good, but I think it could be faster. If you drop 1-2 {Collective Blessing}, you can get more {Advent of the Worm}, which is nuts.

Also, {Voice of Resurgance} is pretty fantastic as well. You could drop {Champion of Lambholt} and {Wayfaring Temple} or a {Rancor} for them.

Your sideboard could include {Selesnya Charm}, {Rest in Piece}, {Fog}, more {Sigarda, Host of Herons}, that kind of stuff.

The deck looks good. Selesnya is looming on the horizon my friends.

Yeah he was in there originally but at that cost I'd end up playing out the thragtusk and gaining a bunch of life to increase the games length :)
But with both you can flicker the Thragtusk and extend the game a LOT. :P

Anybody that can post a report of how your midnight release goes will be my heroes.
I'll do it.

But a comment like that one doesn't help to strengthen the deck at all. All it does is point out a weakness without any constructive criticism to help make it better.

Unsummon destroys your dreams and decimates your hand
Well everyone thought Blind Obedience would kill aggro, but aggro decks still go strong. I'm not sure how much the unsummon would really show up. Not a ton of people mainboard them. Plus, you're not going to give up on a deck because of an unsummon. :P

I feel like there should be another creature to Voltron In this deck. I'm trying to think of other good doublestrike creatures. There is a human 1/1 doublestriker but I don't remember it's name or CMC or if it's even in the colors.

If I may ask, why did you choose to exclude {Ranger's Path} from your green ramp deck?

Notes:
This Deck has been beating out other aggro, running over midrange (I admit still having trouble with Jund), but I don't know how it will be against Esper. There isn't much Control around Arkansas. Any advise or personal experience is completely fine with me.

How would you feel about {Runechanter's Pike}?

{Ambush Viper} and  {Wasteland Viper} are great creature base removal for green.

I'd also stick a set of  {Naturalize} in your sideboard at least to side in against white control decks that play  {Oblivion Ring} and  {Detention Sphere}

Wally, you consistently give good advice.

+1 to you, sir.

Just ended up reposting it instead of bumping - old one was really out of date and had no discussion, so this was a lot easier than the painstaking update I would have had to do :P

But yeah, this deck is crazy fun to play. It just floods the board with tokens, and dropping {Hissing Iguanar}, {Rage Thrower}, or {Perilous Shadows} tells the whole table "Go ahead and board wipe me. You do, you die."

I've won a number of games with my copy spells, my favorite thing to copy being {Overwhelming Stampede}. Just a few copies and your whole team can easily have +60/+60 and trample. Those are some beefy saprolings.

Sometimes I like to envision the spells I cast and how cool it would be to see something like a mob of giant saprolings destroying everything in their path.

I could never pick. I like to use lesser-played legendaries, and have been having a lot of fun lately with my {Ulasht the Hate Seed} .library., though.

Would you mind posting your {Ulasht} deck for me, Gorzo? I'd like to take a look.

I am a long-standing fan of {AniMOAR, Soul of Elephants}.
