Playing EDH and my opponent drops {Fleecemane Lion} manage to burn it before he gets monstrosity next turn.

Next time, if I use [Languish] once he gets monstrosity, I can still board wipe and take care of [Fleecemane Lion] because:
1. I'm not targeting, thereby ducking hexproof; and
2. Reducing toughness to zero without causing any combat damage, thereby not "destroying" his creature.

Can you please verify if I have interpreted the rules correctly?

Check {Doubling Season} in the card database. Ruling there is, PW comes in with twice the number of loyalty counters, but activating loyalty counters is a "cost" and not an effect, thereby nullifying the acceleration effect you're trying for. Other than the initial doubling, the other proposed cards accelerate as you want.

I use {traitorous instinct} to gain control of {dutiful attendant}. Sacrifice with {bloodflow connoisseur}.  Since I have control of {dutiful attendant} at the time it dies, do I get to return a creature from my graveyard, or does the card owner?

Theme is monstrosity with mana ramp to try get them bigger faster. I'll have to make a trip to Yellow Jacket and spend some time going through the card boxes. 😀

Relatively new to the game, and these just happen to be the cards I currently have. Make a trip to the store only occasionally, so have to work with a lot of singles. {Doubling Season} the exception of course! Would have been nice to find those, but I got them from TCG.

This is my favourite deck, but still Need a few exchanges to get mana ramp improved. Probably just more of the mana ramp cards I already have in the deck.
