The owner of my LGS ran a  {Worldfire} deck, they can be incredibly fun.  {Spelltwine} will give you an alterate win condition if you or the opponent have a token generator or burn spell in the graveyard.

Blood Baron seems a little out of place in this deck as he cannot be enchanted by your Courage or Armor.

Instead of  {Predator's Rapport} you can put in  {Volcanic Strength} for the mirror matches.  {Stromkirk Noble} enchanted becomes a very fast racer.

Varition is nice but some cards as just plain better than others, especially in a mono-red burn deck.

I would take out the probe altogether, you have no counters anyway. {Ponder} will serve you better than {Visions of Beyond} as tokens do not go to graveyard, woul remove the latter to make a full set of the former.

Rules / Wrath of god and indestructible

I was always told {Wrath of God} wiped the board of all creatures and that both Hexproof and Indestructible meant nothing to it. Is this true? Also, would something like {Witchbane Orb} protect a player against {Wrath of God}?

I would take out the {Mana Leak}s in favor of adding more {Trepanation Blade}s and other removal, such as a full playset of your {Tragic Slip} and {Go For The Throat}. Consider {Endless Ranks of the Dead} to give you free creatures each turn, {Walking Corpse} is another cheap zombie to add with {Diregraf Ghoul}. I would also switch out {Ponder} for {Thought Scour}, mill the opponent and still draws a card. {Nephalia Downyards} are great if you find yourself with extra mana to soak because of crappy draws.

I have {Gutter Grime} in my Black/Green Morbid deck. The reason I do not switch it over is because it require non-token creatures to die and aside from {Sun Titan} I have no revival.

A little bit about the cards I have access to, I started collecting a month before Innistrad came out (my first and only FNM was with the blue/white spirit pre constructed deck) so I have very few cards from before M12.

A little off topic, but what if first strike goes against an indestructible?

For example: A 5/3 indestructible creature blocks a 6/5 first strike creature. The first strike would deal 6 damage first, which could not kill the 5/3 due to indestructible, but does combat then stop like with regeneration or does the 5/3 then deal 5 damage killing the 6/5?

So this came up in a game last night, and I hoped I informed everyone correctly.

A group of players at my house were dueling, and the defender had Royal Assassin. The attacker choose attackers, and they asked me for a ruling to see if he could use the Royal Assassin's ability to destroy an attacker before combat damage was assigned. I said no, but he could do it after combat even during the attackers turn. Then in another game, the attacker was facing me, and he ended his turn. I said "End of your turn" and activated Reassembling Skeleton's ability to return to the field. He debates that counted as using the ability as an instant (which prevented the Royal Assassin trick) and I said it didn't, there was nothing on the stack and he declared his intention to end the turn so in the "dead space" between his second main phase and ending his turn I activated his ability, much like you could do with a character like Gideon's Lawkeeper.

Is what I said/did correct?
