I was just wondering if the wording on Elvish Piper ("put a creature card from your hand into play"), would cause something like Ulamogs ability ("when you cast Ulamog destroy target permanent") to activate.

I just want to make sure because I know that sometimes wording is incredibly specific and there are exactly zero ruling via M:tG on this.

But isn't player b ,the controller of swerve, giving web a new target? thus changing essential ownership of the spell to b, because b is choosing the new target and targeting a's creatures which can't happen because of asceticism?

Just for the sake of example,Index says "Look at the top five cards of your library, put them back in any order." Does looking at the top cards of your library count as drawing, specifically for effects like Jace's Erasure?
