{Pact of the Titan} buyout in the process.

Why? Your guess is as good as mine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just about anything by Jaya Ballard. In particular, {Inferno}.

"Some have said there is no subtlety to destruction. You know what? They're dead."

First link is broken. However I gotta agree she's fantastic for flavour text. What ever happened to her?
The first link was just a gatherer search for all cards referencing Jaya in their flavor texts.

Nine. Six were my prerelease pack, and the other three were from a draft on Friday.

Discussion / Re: Best Booster Pack Pull
October 02, 2016, 04:19:48 PM
Best pull was an Ugin's Fate {Ugin, the Spirit Dragon}. The Expedition {Windswept Heath} in my BFZ Fat Pack is a close second.

Favorite pull: I bought an Unhinged pack and saved it for the release event for the original Conspiracy in case I drafted a {Lore Seeker}. Sadly, my LGS at the time ruled on the day of the event that a pack brought into the draft by Lore Seeker had to be tournament legal, ruling out my Unhinged pack. I immediately cracked it and got a foil {Who/What/When/Where/Why}. It took me a few minutes to look up its price out of curiosity and find out that it was around $70 back then. It was my first huge money pull ever.

Both of those cards currently reside in my cube.

My worst pulls probably came from my two OGW Fat Packs. All of the rares were uninteresting, but between them I pulled two {Oath of Chandra}, two {Oath of Jace}, and four {Call the Gatewatch}. I was pretty disappointed, but that's what you get for cracking packs.

Doug Beyer has stated that Ashiok's gender is unknown because Ashiok chooses not to define Ashiok's identity that way. Ashiok is often referred to with male pronouns, but that's because characters assume that Ashiok is male and because English generally defaults to using male pronouns when gender is in question.

{Engineered Explosives} is up, though it's market price is still $25. Card is heavily played in Modern, so I'm not surprised that the spike happened.

The card you're thinking of is {Unexpectedly Absent}.

I'm still a {Lone Missionary}. T_T

I would not expect the Aluren price to stick, considering its market price is about $18. Also, Aluren has historically not been able to maintain $20+ price tags.

Not going to be worth it. In order to get this on turn 2, you need to have seven specific cards in hand out of the eight or nine cards you will see: two lands, a dork, Rider, two green cards, and Eldritch Evolution. And if you don't get this on turn 2, then you likely open yourself up to countermagic or a kill spell on your dork, assuming they didn't Bolt it on turn 1. A single counterspell turns this into a 4-for-1. Delve creatures are much better for the job, but, of course, they're harder to buy out.

No it is actually a feature. Go to Main Menu -> Settings & Tools -> LOOK AND FEEL -> Background Search to switch it off.

Very fast is relative. How fast are you in comparison to this kid? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIMb2pWAgm4

Do you want a speed slider there?
I like the concept of background searching since it makes querying easier, which is a big plus for user experience. I think a speed slider might help. Either that or a more prominent "clear search" button, since that's the most effective way of dealing with this right now.

I am also a decently fast typist. It's just that the background search feature requires me to hit the backspace key a few more times than I'd normally expect, which adds a little time to quick searches.

Ever since iMtG updated to include iOS 9 support, the database search bar has added in a context-based list of suggestions for card names. However, I find this feature has been more frustrating than helpful as of late because once you type in the first three letters, the app will automatically fill those letters in once you start deleting letters. For example, say I'm searching for {Abandon Hope}, but I accidentally type in "Abb." I realize my mistake and start deleting to correct the typo. Here, the app will fill in "Abb" again, and I'll be searching for "Abbandon Hope" even though I deleted down to "Ab" and started typing "andon Hope." What's more annoying, the app keeps doing this unless I delete and correct the typo very fast.

What's going on? I can't imagine this is intentional. Is it a bug?
