Rules / Multiple Q's
May 14, 2012, 02:52:41 AM
1.) Opponent attacks and I declare a blocker, before damage occurs I sacrifice the creature to trigger some other ability...does my opponents creature's damage still go through?

2.) Can you tap a summoning sick creature? (not for abilities but if I cast a spell causing it to tap)

3.)Is there a ruling where during a match you can discard cards or pay life or something (not sure) to draw cards?  Apparently at the Avacyn Restored prerelease some were drawing cards in the middle of a match doing such a thing.

So the consensus here is that cloudshifting an act of treasoned card does not let you keep it permanently?

If I Soulbond {pathbreaker wurm} and {trusted forcemage}, do they each gain each others' paired ability?

Rules / Warstorm Surge

Hey all, if I have {Warstorm Surge} on the battlefield I was wondering about two cases:

1.). If I attacked my opponent to activate {Vampire Outcasts} ability could I choose to do 4 damage for bloodthirst or is it just 2 damage?

2.). If I have {Cemetery Reaper} out and a 2/2 zombie token comes onto the battlefield can I choose to do 3 damage because since it gains +1/+1 from the reaper or is it still just 2 damage?

When {Gutter Grime} is in play, a nontoken creature dies..that's. 1/1 slime token that comes out..now when another nontoken creature dies, a 2/2 slime token comes out...does the previous 1/1 slime token also increment to a 2/2 slime token?

Can I equip and enchant my own creatures who have Hexproof or does Hexproof prevent me from also targeting my own creature?

Rules / Re: Proliferate

Does that mean if I have one permanent with +1/+1 counters on him and the opponent has a permanent with a -1/-1 counter I can give mine another +1/+1 counter and his another -1/-1 counter when I proliferate?

Say if I'm using {Elspeth Tirel} and I choose to use his ability to destroy all permanents except land and tokens.

There's a creature on the field with an artifact that makes it indestructible (I apologize for lack of example card).

Would the creature be destroyed, or would just the artifact be destroyed and the creature survive?

I apologize for not linking, dunno how to do it on this app (just joined), but say if I play curse of the nightly hunt on my opponent and he has sentinel gargoyle and during whichever turn when the attack phase is initiated and my opponent has 3 land available, would he have to use his land to use sentinel gargoyle's ability to lose defender and attack me?
