If my opponent has a desecration demon out, could I sacrifice aetherling and phase him out before the sacrifice resolves?

If my opponent plays {fiend hunter} and exiles my {primordial hydra}, then fiend hunter dies an brings my primordial hydra back, if in that instant he comes back, could I cast {hunger of the howlpack}, or {bioshift}, being as they are both instants, and they have priority, to either add or move counters onto primordial hydra and result in it not dying?
