Sounds simple enough. I guess it's on to the trial and error phase! Haha I hear cutting sucks. Shoul I just scoop an exacto? Thanks for all the info by the way!

Saw it as a child. Never really played. One day about a year ago came upstairs and a few of my friends were playing. Took one look and drove to Walmart to buy a deck builders kit. Now we are going to iQs and Opens like every weekend. Got bit by the bug fast.

Those are amazing. Me and my friends are getting into token making. Actually just stripped a few foils last night. Where do you get the templates for the "beast" and the "3/3" ? Looking amazing btw. Good work

I went to play legacy on Sunday with Punishing Jund. Went 4-4 and made some stupid mistakes in the last two matches that cost me games (most notably playing a {Liliana of the Veil} with one already on the board, thinking that the new legendary rule was in place).

Great experience for my first big legacy tournament, got to play next to BBD, lost 1-2 in the first round to the punishing RUG player that made top 8, and knew a couple people in the top 8 from legacy Wednesdays at my LGS, well worth the trip.
Ahhhh the new rule mixup. That sucks man. They actually made it a point during first day to announce that a few times. I guess that a lot of people are jumping the fun on that. Legacy is such an intimidating game type to get into. If only I could hit the lottery. I woul e in there haha.
No you wouldn't, you would only have half a deck ;)
lol and that's why I'll never do it. The cards. So expensive

Did anyone else end up going? It was my first open and I was piloting another aggressive naya midrange. Ended the day 7-3 and got 52nd which paid out 50 so I played for free with alittle profit. Was a great time, even though some dude tried to swipe my friends book bag. Overall happy with the first open I attended but learned a lot from the losses. I hate esper :(

Watch out for artifacts. Affinity decks can run you over so bad if you're not careful
affinity you say. Ill be on the look out. Besides artifact destruction of course what's a good way to go about playing one?

So after I had my friends play enough modern to have me interested I put together a Melira Pod deck. So excited to play but I don't know much about the meta. What are some helpful tips you guys can give me? Any decks I should look out for. Any tricks I can be aware of. I play standard very competetivly so I'm excited to hop into this new format. Any advice helps. Thanks!
