For example if I have ten tokens from {assemble the legion} and cast {evangel of heliod} do I get 3 tokens or 13 ?

Imade my first draft like two weeks ago and I opened the second booster and there was a {mutavault} and I passed it!
I took the {young pyromancer instead !

I actually played this combo against one of my friends
I had 60 1/1 tokens and 72 life
I attacked with all 60 tokens and with a {frontline medic} and he played {riot control} gaining 60 life of his on...
I was so pissed of but it didn't matter next turn I had 71  tokens and killed him...
